|Air Emission Accounts|
|Objective: To present the data on emissions of air pollutants, in a way that is compatible with the System of National Accounts, registering the emitting agents, broken down by economic activity branch and Households as final consumers sector.
Variables studied: Air pollutants.
This has been carried out since: 2002. It has been available since 1995.
|Environmental Tax Account|
|Objective: To present the breakdown, by branch of activity and households as final consumers sector, of those taxes whose taxable base consists of a physical unit (or the like) of some material that has a proven and specific negative impact on the environment.
Variables studied: Environmental taxes: Taxes on energy, transport, pollution and resources.
This has been carried out since: 2007. It has been available since 1995.
|Material Flow Account|
|Objective: To present the physical inputs of materials that enter the national economic system, and the outputs to other economies or to the environment, in physical units (tonnes). This account enables obtaining a set of broken-down indicators of the use of natural resources, and from which indicators may be derived on the productivity of the resources (eco-efficiency) as regards GDP.
Variables studied: Domestic extraction of materials, imports, exports, domestic consumption of materials, and derived material productivity indicators.
Studies conducted: 2002. It has been available since 1995.
|Other Environmental Accounts|
|Objective: To compile the environmental satellite accounts, within the framework of the national accounts, in the following areas: expenditure on environmental protection, environmental goods and services sector, energy, water, waste, forests.
Variables studied: different relevant variables, according to sector
This has been carried out since: 2000. It has been available since 1995.
