TopEAPS Economically Active Population Survey
  Objective: to obtain data on the labour force and on its different categories (employed persons, unemployed persons), as well as on the population unrelated to the labour market (economically inactive persons).

Variables studied: population according to sex, age, marital status, nationality, studies, relationship with economic activity. Economically active persons are also classified according to the branch of activity, occupation, economic sector, professional status, etc. Employed persons are also classified according to the hours worked, working conditions, etc. Unemployed persons are also classified according to the time spent and means used for seeking employment, etc. Economically inactive persons are also classified according to the type of inactivity, previous jobs, etc.

  Objective: to provide a common, comparable and timely measure of the labour costs for the entire European Union, that allows for a follow-up of the evolution of said labour costs.
