Objective: to obtain the most common surnames and first names, on the basis of information derived from statistical use of the Municipal Register and Birth Statistics, which forms part of Vital Statistics.

Variables studied: surnames of the resident population by province of birth and residence; names of the resident population by province of residence, province and decade of birth, sex and nationality; most common names of newborns by Autonomous Community and sex.

Objective: to provide information about the annual residential variations both internal, between the different Spanish municipalities, and external, between Spanish municipalities and abroad.

Variables studied: Residential variations by sex, groups of age, place of birth, nationality, size of the municipality of origin and destination and place of origin and destination of the movement. The external residential variations are also classified by country of origin or destination.
