Objective:to offer the information on the health of the population that is necessary for planning and evaluating health care actions and providing adequate attention to the persons who use the health care services.

Variables studied:population by sex and age as regards: illnesses, accidents, consumption of medication, medical visits, hospitalisations, food habits and consumption of alcohol and tobacco.

Objective: to obtain data on the frequency of sexual behaviour related to the risk of HIV/AIDS infection, preventive measures adopted, and opinions and attitudes expressed by the population regarding AIDS.

Variables studied: persons between 18 and 49 years of age, by social and demographic characteristics, lifestyle, sexual information and experience, sexual health, HIV test and attitudes.

Objective: to provide information on the assistance, economic and teaching activity in hospital centres, and on the personnel, capacity and economic regime facilities in which admitted patients are attended to.

Objective: to provide information on disabled persons and their relation with employment, thruogh a module carried out together with the EAPS from the second quarter of 2002.
