INE / Statistical Organization in Spain

Statistical organisation in Spain is highly-complex, due to the decentralisation of production of statistics within the General Administration of the State (GAS) and the statistical jurisdictions of the Autonomous Communities.

For the General Administration of the State, the Public Statistics Function Law is accessible from this page, as are the National Statistics Plan and the annual programmes implementing this, as well as the standards regulating the official statistical bodies, the INE and the ministerial department statistical services. The Inventory of General Administration of the State statistical operations is also presented, in which all its statistical production is related.

For the Autonomous Communities, access is granted to the respective statistical laws, as well as the standards established by their corresponding statistical plans.
