In accordance with the usual dissemination model for social indicators, the information is structured in several chapters according to the different areas of social concern considered: population; family and social relations; work; income, distribution and consumption; social welfare; physical environment; culture and entertainment; social cohesion and participation. A set of chosen indicators features in each of these chapters, which allows different social groups or territories to be compared in time. With this publication, the National Statistics Institute (INE) presents a system of indicators relating to global asepcts of Spanish social reality, following in the same line as previous social statistics operations (Social Indicators of Spain and Social Panorama of Spain).
