The Industrial Companies Survey (ICS) is a structural survey that is carried out annually whose main objective is to provide specific, reliable and appropriate information on the various sectors that constitute industrial activity, in such a way that both the national and international information needs on the subject may be satisfied.

The survey refers to the group of companies whose main activity is industrial (sections B, C, D and E of the National Classification of Economic Activities from 2009) and located within the country.
