The Survey on Equipment and Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Households (ICT-H) follows the methodological recommendations of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat).
The survey has been conducted annually since 2002, performing the fieldwork during the first half of each year, though due to multiple changes to its methodology and results presentation, the comparability of the data is only guaranteed as of 2006.
Information is collected regarding the information and communication technology equipment in households (television, telephone, radio, computer equipment, Internet access, etc.) and regarding the use of computers, the Internet and electronic commerce by persons. Special attention is paid to the use that children make of technology.
The European data is taken from the Eurostat website, where information on the Information Society may be expanded.
