Por outro lado, Portugal passou de um valor inferior, no início da série, para, no final, um registo mais elevado do que os apurados para Espanha e para a UE. CIENTÍFICOS E INGENIEROS En el periodo 2013-2022, el porcentaje de científicos e ingenieros en la población activa aumentó en Portugal a un ritmo más rápido que en España y la Unión Europea (aumentos de 4,6 p.p., 1,3 p.p. y 2,1 p.p., respectivamente). Por otra parte, Portugal pasó de tener una cifra más baja al principio de la serie a tener una cifra más alta al final que España y la UE. SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS In the period 2013-2022, the percentage of scientists and engineers vis-à-vis the working population increased in Portugal at a higher rate than in Spain and the European Union (increases of 4.6 p.p., 1.3 p.p. and 2.1 p.p. respectively).
