National Statistics Institute

The European statistical information is disseminated primarily via   Eurostat´s website (available in English, French and German). Through predefined tables and databases providing access to harmonised and comparable data from the European Union, its Member States and the euro area, as well as other countries and major trading partners.

The use of Eurostat data is free. However, in some cases it should be registered to access additional functionality such as the alert service, to download a larger amount of data (bulk downloading), customisation of the navigation tree, etc. The registration process is immediate

The INE website also includes European statistical information. On the one hand, a selection of most frequently consulted tables may be found in the section dedicated to the European Statistical System.  On the other hand, in the section INEbase it is possible to access a wide selection of European data, together with national data, identified by means of the text: European data.
