Knowledge Transmission Network (KTN)

The KTN coordinates the available training existing in the countries that comprise the   CEPAL , for the purpose of taking the most advantage of resources and avoiding duplications in terms of the subjects taught by countries or international organisations. The KTN has a two-year course programme made up of in-person or online courses delivered by the statistics offices or other organisations responsible for the official statistics of the countries, as well as courses organised by international organisations in benefit of the countries in the region.

The training programme of the KTN is designed based on the areas specified in Strategic Plan of the CEA 2005-2015, in the Two-Year Plan of the   CEA , and also depending on the specific training needs of the countries as exhibited in the demand questionnaires mailed to them and in different forums. Spain is a member of the Executive Committee of the KTN, together with five other members.
