Definition
Status of the person as regards his or her relationship with his or her partner:Single: A person who is not married
Married: A person who has married.
Common law couple: Persons in a relationship that is not legally or administratively recognised.
Widow(er): Person whose spouse has died and who has not remarried.
Legally separated: A person who has interrupted their life with their spouse, maintaining the marital relationship with a court order.
Common law separation: A person who has interrupted their life with their spouse, maintaining the marital relationship without a court order.
Divorced: A person whose marital relationship has been legally annulled.
