Concept selected: Number of generations in the household

Definition

The number of generations is the maximum number of times that a mother or father is found among all of the values calculated for each one of the persons in the household.

Notes

In order to calculate the number of generations in the household, we seek, for each person, her/his father and mother, the father and mother of her/his father, the father and mother of her/his mother, and so on and so forth.
If no person in the household states another as his/her mother or father, the number of generations is 1; if the household comprises a couple with children, the number will be 2, and so on.
