Definition

The centre depends on the owner thereof. Legal dependence is a criterion to be used to determine the type of centre, classifying it according to who is its registered owner, on record as such in the Registry of the MECS.

Notes

Based on this dependence, the centres are classified as:
- Catholic centres or centres of other religious faiths. When the owner of the centre is an individual or company dependent on the Catholic Church, or on orders and congregations of any other religious faith.
- Secular centres. When the owner of the centre is an individual or company that does not depend on the Catholic Church nor on orders or congregations of any other religious faith.
