Concept selected: Ownership of the centre/classroom

Definition

This is the economic dependence of the functioning school units in the centre, based on the degree of subsidy maintained with the Administration.

The Educational Subsidy is granted to the "school unit" (classroom) and not to the centre itself, in such a way that a single centre may have several "school units" subsidised, along with other units that are not subsidised.

Notes

For tabulation purposes, if the centre has any subsidised unit (or classroom), the centre is considered subsidised.

NON-UNIVERSITY EDUCATION classrooms according to their economic dependence are classified as:

- Subsidised classrooms in subsidised centres
- Non-subsidised classrooms in subsidised centres
- Non-subsidised classrooms in non-subsidised centres

By the definition of subsidised centre itself (where there is at least one subsidised classroom), the situation of a "Subsidised classroom in a non-subsidised centre" cannot occur

UNIVERSITY EDUCATION centres are not eligible for subsidies, and therefore, they are all considered non-subsidised.
