Technological Innovation Panel (PITEC)
The Technological Innovation Panel (PITEC in its Spanish initials) is a panel database that the INE (National Institute of Statistics) compiles annually with information from the Survey on Innovation in Companies and the Statistics on R&D activities. It consists of a subset of companies that are part of the sample of these two operations and allows for the analysis of the evolution of technological innovation activities over time in these companies between 2003 and 2016.
PITEC can only be accessed by researchers who conduct their work in research entities and certify their need to access the information for use in a scientific research project. The data request can be made through infoINE, selecting as the subject Science and Technology - ICTs.
