- The annual rate variation of the Total Industrial Turnover Index stands at -2.7% both in the seasonal and calendar adjusted and in the original.

The Industrial Turnover Index (ITI), once adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, showed in February a variation of -2.7% as compared with the same month of the previous year.
The ITI original series registered the same annual variation rate.

By market, all markets showed negative annual rates in February. It is worth noting the decrease registered in the non euro area in the foreign market (-7.8%)

The monthly variation of the seasonally and calendar adjusted Total Industrial Turnover Index between the months of February and January, stood at 0.6%. This rate was 1.8 points higher than the previous month.

By Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs), four of the five sectors showed positive monthly rates. It is worth highlighting the increase in Energy1 (4.4%), followed by Capital goods (1.4%). The only sector that decreased was Durable consumer goods (-0.8%).
Turnover increased as compared to February 2025 in three Autonomous Communities and decreased in the other 14.
The largest decreases were recorded in Illes Balears (-19.3%), Principado de Asturias (-11.7%) and Extremadura (-9.2%).
The increases were recorded in Comunidad de Madrid (3.7%), Castilla y León (3.4%) and Cantabria (2.4%).

On the press release day, INE has updated ITI data series corresponding to the last 13 months. In the case of calendar adjusted and seasonally and calendar adjusted series, according to INE standard, series are revised since its beginning. Results are available at INEBase.
According to the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/137 INE has started the works to incorporate the new National Classification of Economic Activities CNAE-2025 in all the statistical operations.
In the case of the ITI, the release of the first results with CNAE-2025 will take place in March 2028.
