Experimental Statistic. Weekly death estimates during the covid-19 outbreak

Experimental Statistic. Weekly death estimates (EDeS) during the covid-19 outbreak
The EDeS project aims to carry out a weekly study of deaths occurring during the covid-19 pandemic, and to compare this with the historical data on deaths since the year 2000. This will allow us to interpret the data using a necessary historical perspective, given the variability in deaths over time.
The project does not have a set duration: it depends on external elements such as the evolution of the pandemic itself. Its experimental nature must be taken into account at all times, however, and figures should be taken with caution. Data provided is estimated using a model that could underestimate or overestimate the .results
Data will be published monthly. That is, on the day of the week S, data for the full week S-2 will be published.
Note to users: from 16/02/2022, this experimental statistics will be an official statistics, inluded in the Inventory of Statistical Operations (ISO). Their release dates from then on can be consulted in the INE Statistics Availability Calendar.
