For the purpose of compiling the Population and Housing Censuses 2011, the National Statistics Institute has selected a sample of documentation and bibliographic material tracing the main population counting and registration operations since the 9th century.

In addition to the exhibition, which may be visited at the INE central headquarters from September until November 2011, a digital presentation has been made, allowing all interested users access to the contents of this sample.
