    • 1) Proportion of wage earners whose earnings per hour are below 2/3 of median earnings.

      2) Deciles are the earnings values that in order from lowest to highest, divide the number of workers into ten equal parts, in such a way that each part includes ten percent of said workers.

      3) The median is the earnings value that divides the number of workers into two equal parts, those with a higher wage and those with a lower wage.

      4)The 'Wage gap between women and men' indicator, defined by the Statistics Office of the European Union (Eurostat), represents the difference in earnings per hour of wage-earning men and women, as a percentage of the hourly earnings of men. Eurostat calculates this only for those wage earners who work in units with 10 workers or more, and includes in hourly earnings those payments for overtime hours worked, but excludes extra bonuses.
