In 2001, we take count... of all of us
In Spain, the Demographic Censuses (population, housing and buildings) are carried out every 10 years, as established by law. Their main objective is to determine the number of inhabitants, dwellings and buildings there are in the Country, and the different geographic and administrative areas, and to obtain a description of the structure of the country from different points of view, to enable the compilation and assessment of policies on demography, health, education, welfare, environment, etc.
