On 16 October each year, the FAO celebrates World Food Day. The motto for 2004 is Biodiversity at the service of food safety. The food most consumed in Spain are white bread, potatoes and milk. Each person eats more than twice as much meat as fish eat year. Three quarters of the oil consumed are olive oil.
