The Spanish Health Survey (ESdE) is a survey aimed at the entire population residing in family dwellings throughout the national territory. Its main objective is to obtain data on health status, health service utilisation and health determinants.

It is conducted every three years, and provides information in a harmonised and comparable manner at European level, for the purpose of planning and evaluating health actions at both national and international level. The INE and the Ministry of Health are jointly responsible for the 2023 Spain Health Survey.

The 2023 survey covered approximately 37,500 households in 2,500 census tracts.
