Regulation (EC) 1166/2008 of the European Parliament and Council, of 19 November 2009, regarding the surveys on the structure of the agricultural operaitons and regarding the sruvey on the methods of agricultural production, and by which Regulation (EEC) 571/88 of the Council is repealed, establishes the need for every member country to conduct, referring to the entire national territory, a census of the agricultural operations at least every ten years. Having conducted the last one in Spain in 1999, pursuant to that foreseen in the said Regulation 1166/2008, the survey of agricultural operations should be conducted in the form of a census in 2009.
