The behavioural future of the population in relation to the labour market provides useful information for various purposes: evaluation of the sustainability of social protection systems, establishment of the outlines of future economic development and measures related to labour market and workers training, etc.
The Economic Activity Rate Projections are compiled based on the information from the Economically Active Population Survey (EAPS) and from the Population Projections. The quarterly activity rates series estimated by the EPAS on persons aged 16 years old and over, by Autonomous Community, sex and five-year age group are used as base data. The information available is currently calculated with population base 2011.
