CNAE-2009 is the National Classification of Economic Activities resulting from the international revision process known as Operation 2007, and has been compiled according to the conditions set out in the Regulation approving NACE Rev.2 and which replaces the CNAE-93 Rev.1.
The objective of this classification is to establish a hierarchical group of economic activities that may be used to:
- 1) promote the implementation of national statistics that may be differentiated according to the activities established.
- 2) classify statistical units and entities according to the economic activity carried out.
