Inter-departmental discharges are those discharges that involve the transfer of a patient to another department within the same Establishment. In the case of Hospital Complexes, those occurring within two centres of the same Complex are also included. Inter-departmental discharges are recorded in each one of the Departments in which the patient has been discharged, but they are not added in Total No. of Hospital Discharges.
