Notes ( 3 )
In the Living Conditions Survey, the information used in the calculation of variables such as income and the poverty risk rate always relates to the previous year.
Those at risk of poverty or social exclusion are people who are in one of these situations:
- Poverty risk (60% of the median income per consumption unit).
- Severe social and material deprivation (with deprivation in at least 7 concepts from a list of 13).
- In households with no employment or with low employment activity intensity (households in which their members of workable age did less than 20% of the total of their work potential during the reference year).
Dependent children are understood to be all those persons under 18 years of age, and persons aged 18 to 24 years old who are economically inactive, for whom at least one of the parents is a member of the household.
