The National Institute of Statistics, which forms part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for the Economy and Business Support, is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, regarding mobile device website and application accessibility in the public sector

A complaint may also be lodged if a reply has not been received within twenty working days.

This website applies the requirements of the UNE-EN 301549:2019 considering the exceptions of RD 1112/2018.
The website is optimized for the browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer, versions 10.0 or higher, and the latest versions of FireFox, Safari, Opera and Google Chrome. The minimum recommended web resolution is 1280x1024.
The website is designed for Responsive viewing, optimising its display on tablet and mobile devices. On these devices, the site is optimized for viewing in the latest versions of Chrome for mobile, Firefox for mobile, Safari mobile, Opera Mini and the native Android browser.
Some of the most meaningful actions being carried out to improve accessibility and usability are:
- Use of style sheets: page presentation controlled through validated style sheets (CSS).
- Language used: The texts, titles and links have been reviewed so that the language used is as clear and concise as possible.
- Text size: all pages use fonts with relative size, meaning that if the user prefers a larger font they can select it using their browser’s text size options.
- Page structure: to facilitate navigation through all pages hosted on the INE website, the portal is designed with a navigation menu and a common footer for all content. Likewise, the home page can always be accessed by clicking on the INE logo.
