Description of indicator
This indicator is the ratio between the total population living in households and the total number of households.
The numerator is calculated by estimating, considering the total population of the municipality the population from the Continuous Municipal Register, and subtracting the population living in collective living quarters (by estimation). The result is the resident population in households.
The denominator is obtained by estimation from the Continuous Municipal Register.
This indicator is obtained by estimation from the Continuous Municipal Register. The method of calculating this indicator was renewed in February 2015 and the entire series has been replaced.
At national level, the sources are the pre-census files (for 2017-2021), the Continuous Household Survey (2013-2016) and the Household Projection (2010-2012).
