4827Official Aid for Development (OAD) in Spain

  • Exercise of the annual international cooperation plan: between 1 January and 31 March we collated all interventions imputable as official aid for development made by Spanish public administrations the previous year. The information compiled enables calculating the ratio AOD/RNB as well as the main magnitudes for Spanish aid. The analysis includes both bilateral interventions and contributions to multilateral institutions. The result is published during the second quarter of the year by the Directorate General for Planning and Evaluation of Development Policies (DGPOLDE) in a volume called "Follow-up - PACI 2006". Subsequently, this information is transferred to the OECD Committee for Development Aid, delegated by its member states to quantify the annual official aid for development.
  • Annual international cooperation plan: between 1 September and 31 October the DGPOLDE covered all interventions scheduled by public administrations OE CD the scope of the AOD for 2008. With this information, a base document and the budgetary framework for the annual international cooperation plan was prepared; after approval by the Council of Ministers, this is published in December.
