5246Tourist Expenditure Survey (EGATUR)

Works that will be carried out in the year 2011: Estimation of tourist expenditure of foreign visitors and their behaviour.
Sample extension in the Autonomous Communities of Catalu¿a and Illes Balears
Collection, recording, filtering, processing and monthly analysis of the Information.
Extension of results to the population of travellers to provide the statistics on Tourist Movement on Borders (FRONTUR), compiled by the Institute of Tourist Studies.
Publication and dissemination of the results in accordance with "Tourism Studies Institute Statistics Availability Calendar for 2011". A working group works, comprising personnel from the INE, the Institute for Tourist Studies and the Bank of Spain, in order to study the methodology for estimating tourist income.

Budgetary credits necessary for its finance in the year 2011 (in thousands euros): 1,432.78 thousand euros financed by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and 66.47 thousand euros financed by the INE.
