Definition
Percentage of boys and girls who at the end of primary education have reached or exceeded the intermediate level of competence in mathematics.
Calculation method

\[MPL_{TIMSS}=\frac{MP_{TIMSS}}{P_{TIMSS}}\]Where: \( MP_{TIMSS}\)is the number of boys and girls from the fourth grade of Primary Education in the TIMSS study who have reached or exceeded the intermediate level of performance in mathematics competition and \( P_{TIMSS}\)is the total number of boys and girls from the fourth grade of Primary Education who participate in the study of competence in mathematics.
