Overnight stays in hotel establishments decreased by 0.9% in June compared to the same month in 2025, exceeding 38.6 million.
Those of travellers resident in Spain grew by 1.5%, while those of non-residents decreased by 2.0%.

During the first six months of 2026, overnight stays increased by 1.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. Those of travellers resident in Spain increased by 1.3% and those of non-residents by 2.0%.
Andalusia, Catalonia and Comunitat Valenciana were the main destinations for travellers resident in Spain in June, with 22.4%, 15.4% and 13.0% of the total number of overnight stays, respectively.
The main destinations for non-residents were Illes Balears, Cataluña, and Canarias, with 34.0%, 18.4% and 17.9% of the total, respectively.
By tourist areas, Isla de Mallorca recorded the highest number of overnight stays, with more than 7.2 million. On the other hand, the tourist destinations with the most overnight stays were Barcelona, Madrid and Calvià.
Travellers from the United Kingdom and Germany accounted for 29.0% and 16.3%, respectively, of total non-resident overnight stays in June.
Overnight stays by travellers from France, the United States and the Netherlands (the next largest source markets) accounted for 6.5%, 5.4% and 4.2% of the total, respectively.
In June, 65.6% of the places offered were filled, 0.2% fewer than in June 2025.
The weekend occupancy rate by bed-places fell by 1.4% to 71.3%.
Illes Balears recorded the highest occupancy rate by bedplaces in June (82.5%).
The tourist destination with the highest level of occupancy by places and at weekends, was the Palma-Calvià, with 84.8% and 86.6%, respectively.
The tourist destination with the highest occupancy rate by bedplaces was Alcúdia (89.6%). Llucmajor achieved the highest weekend occupancy rate (92.1%).
The Hotel Price Index rose by 5.6% in June compared to the same month in 2025.

By communities and autonomous cities, the greatest increase was registered in Illes Balears (9.2%) and the sharpest decrease was in the autonomous city of Ceuta (-0.1%).
By category, the highest price increase occurred in three-star gold establishments (6.9%).
The average hotel turnover per occupied room (ADR) was 137.1 euros in June, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same month in 2025.
The average daily revenue per available room (RevPAR), which is determined by the occupancy of these establishments, reached 101.6 euros, an increase of 4.9%.
By category, the ADR was 317.9 euros for five-star hotels, 141.3 euros for four-star hotels and 110.9 euros for three-star hotels. RevPAR for these same categories was 231.1, 114.2 and 84.4 euros, respectively.
The tourist destination with the highest ADR was Marbella, with 315.4 euros. Estepona presented the greatest RevPAR of 249.9 euros.

The objective of the Hotels Occupancy Survey (EOH) is to ascertain a series of variables that make it possible to describe the fundamental characteristics of the hotel sector, both from the point of view of supply and demand.
The Hotel Price Index (IPH) is a statistical measure of the monthly evolution of prices applied to clients that hotel entrepreneurs apply to their customers.
The objective of the Indicators of Profitability of the Hotel Sector (IRSH) is to facilitate decision-making in the hotel sector. These are the Average Daily Rate (ADR), which collects the average daily income per occupied room, and the Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR), which collects the average daily revenue per available room.
