High-Value Data
Data with great potential for society and the economy, as defined by Directive (EU) 2019/1024. APIs (service)
-
API JSON INE
Documentation, examples and use cases of our web service, which provides access to INEbase information through URL requests with responses in JSON format. This service facilitates the automated use of published statistical information.
-
INEbase OpenAPI
The OpenAPI documentation (with Swagger UI) is the most intuitive tool for using the INEbase JSON API. OpenAPI allows you to centralise and standardise the entire specification that defines the API (endpoints, parameters, formats). As for Swagger UI, it transforms this document into an interactive test interface in the browser, simplifying the query and validation of data requests.
-
INEapir
The INEapir package facilitates automated access to data and metadata published by the INE through interaction with the JSON API, allowing R language users to obtain data and metadata from the INE directly in their developments.
-
JSON API 2021 Population and Housing Censuses
REST API service for querying data from the Population and Housing Census Dissemination System 2021 (SDC21). It allows you to configure requests (POST method) for cross-tabulations of up to 4 variables, specifying the table, metric and variables using a JSON structure.
-
IMF SDMX
Economic and financial indicators that collect all national information published according to the DSBBdata dissemination standard, approved by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). They can be downloaded through our SDMX service, where their associated metadata can be consulted, and the information source (INE, Bank of Spain, IGAE and AEAT) can be accessed directly.
-
SDMX ODS
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development consists of 17 goals and 169 targets. For monitoring purposes, a series of indicators were designed, many of them global, which can be measured through statistical data. The INE is the custodian of these indicators in Spain. Your inquiry can be made through our SDMX service.
Microdata
-
Anonymised microdata
Microdata files contain individual statistical data, conveniently anonymised, in order to preserve the confidentiality of the information. The data appears unaggregated; for its study, suitable programmes for the processing of statistical data are needed.
-
Confidential microdata for researchers
The INE facilitates access to confidential data for the performance of statistical analyses for scientific purposes in the public interest to entities that justify the need for the use of said data. Requires the signing of terms of use.
Others

-
Maps
Access to the GIS (Geographic Information System) map gallery produced by the INE. These interactive mapping applications allow you to view, explore and analyse territorially referenced statistical information.
-
Applications and infographics
A website that groups together applications and infographics that allow you to easily consult, view and analyse available statistical data.
