In July, Spain received 11.0 million international tourists, 1.6% more than in the same month in 2024.
In the first seven months of 2025, the number of tourists that visited Spain increased by 4.1% and exceeded 55.5 million.
Annual variation. Percentage
The United Kingdom was the main country of residence, with almost 2.1 million tourists and an increase of 0.7% compared to July 2024. There were 1.2 million arrivals from France (3.1% fewer) and 1.2 million from Germany (4.8% fewer).

The main sending countries during the first seven months were the United Kingdom (with around 11.0 million tourists and an increase of 4.3%), France (with over 7.1 million and an increase of 1.7%) and Germany (with over 6.9 million, 1.6% more).
The number of tourists who chose market accommodation as their main type of accommodation increased by 1.5% in annual terms. Within this type, hotel accommodation grew by 1.4%, while rented accommodation decreased by 3.6%. Non-market accommodation rose by 1.8%.
Tourists mostly stayed for four to seven nights, totalling nearly 5.3 million with an annual increase of 1.7%. The number of visitors increased by 2.4% among those without overnight stays (excursionists) and decreased by 3.5% among tourists with longer duration (more than 15 nights).
More than 8.2 million tourists travelled without a tourist package in July, an increase of 2.3%. Over 2.8 million travellers arrived with package tours, a fall of 0.4%.
Illes Balears was the top destination for tourists in July, with 23.3% of the total. It was followed by Cataluña (21.3%) and Andalucía (14.0%).
Illes Balears received 1.0% more tourists than in July 2024. The number of tourists visiting Cataluña fell by 1.2% and 5.5% more tourists came to Andalucía.
In the first seven months of 2025, the communities that received the most tourists were Cataluña (11.6 million and an increase of 1.1% compared to the same period in 2024), Canarias (9.1 million and an increase of 4.3%) and Illes Balears (9.0 million, an increase of 3.2%).

The main objective of the Tourist Movement on Borders Survey (FRONTUR) is to estimate the number of non-residents visiting Spain on a monthly basis, as well as to know the main characteristics of the trips made by these visitors.
