Description
Measures the foreign value added generated in each EU-27 country and embodied in Spain's imports from those countries.
Observations
Example: The value added generated in Germany and embodied in Spain’s imports from Germany amounted to 31,306 million euros in 2023. These imports also include value added generated in other countries.
Calculation method
\(v^{\text{t}} L^{\text{t}} e^{\text{t,ES}} \quad \text{with} \ t =\text{Country generating the value added}\)
Where: \( v^{\text{t}} \) is the value added multiplier of the industries in country \( t \), \(L^{\text{t}} \) es the local Leontief inverse corresponding to country \( t \) and \(e^{\text{t,ES}} \) represents the imports into Spain, broken down by industry and country of origin.
