Description
Measures the domestic employment generated by each industry in Spain and embodied in total exports.
Observations
Example: Employment generated in the Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; transportation and storage; accommodation and food service industry (GHI) embodied in Spain’s exports amounted to 2,060 thousand persons in 2023.
Calculation method
\(\langle w^{\text{ES}} \rangle L^{\text{ES}} e^{\text{ES}}\)
Where: \(\langle w^{\text{ES}} \rangle\) denotes the diagonalised employment multiplier of the industries in the Spanish economy, \(L^{\text{ES}}\) is the domestic Leontief inverse for Spain, and \(e^{\text{ES}}\) represents the exports of each industry in Spain.
