Observations

Example: The value added balance linked to final demand between Spain and the United Kingdom amounted to 12,448 million euros in 2024.

Calculation method

\(\text{Indicator 18} - \text{Indicator 20} = v^{\text{ES}} B^{\text{ES}} y^{\text{ES,s}} - v^{\text{t}} B^{\text{t}} y^{\text{t,ES}}\)

Where: \( v^{\text{ES}} \) is the value added multiplier of the Spanish economy's industries, \(B^{\text{ES}} \) is the Leontief inverse for the Spanish economy and \(y^{\text{ES,s}} \) represents the exports destined for final demand in each industry in Spain, by country of destination.

Where: \( v^{\text{t}} \) is the value added multiplier of the industries of country \( t \), \(B^{\text{t}} \) is the Leontief inverse corresponding to country \( t \) and \(y^{\text{t,ES}} \) represents Spain’s imports destined for final demand, by industry of the country of origin.
