    As of the 2004 reference year there are some variations in the data of refuse and treatment of waste water due to a methodological change. The aim of this change is to adapt the results to the needs of the users of these statistics and to international recommendations.
    While up to year 2003, inclusive, only information on waste water from the same was collected in each year's statistics, these sections have now begun to include data on waste water not from the distribution network (rainfall, own extraction, or other origin).
