Notes
1) This considers persons with recognised disabilities, that is, those with a degree of disability that is greater than or equal to 33%, according to the assessment procedure set out in RD 1971/1999 and amended by RD 1364/2012. 2) The results of cells whose value is lower than 5.0 (5,000 persons or households) must be considered cautiously, as they may be affected by large sampling errors 3) The data refers solely to persons with disabilities who make Social Security contributions and do so in ordinary centres. This excludes Special employment centres and those civil servants who make contributions to State Mutual Provident Societies. 4) 'Not recorded': this category consists of pensioners who have been granted a permanent disability pension and who are not registered in the State Database of Persons with Disabilities. 5) The 'Other' deficiency group includes persons with expressive, indeterminate or unknown disabilities and, since 2011, also persons registered with the Social Security General Treasury as affiliates for whom the type of disability is not available. Therefore, the data from 2011 are not statistically comparable with those of previous years. 6) Since the 2024 reference year, the results by type of disability are presented according to the ICD-10 classification, implemented in the BEPD (IMSERSO), the administrative source used for identifying the group.
