INEbase / Labour market / Economically Active Population Survey / Repercussion of the EAPS-2002 methodological changes

Effect of the changes

In the groups of tables included in this section, the user may find a summary of the main employment indicators and the repercussions that the methodological changes from 2002 may have on the figures.

For the four quarters of 2001 some tables are offered on the main indicators with the cumulative effects of the three methodological changes described, with a section dedicated to national results and another with details by Autonomous Communities.

For the period which runs from third quarter of 1976 to the fourth of 2001, results are presented that compare with population series, active persons (employed, unemployed) and inactive persons calculated with the old and new methodology. In the four quarters of 2001, the old definition is maintained in the calculation to facilitate the homogeneity of the complete 1976-2001 series. This section presents data by Autonomous Communities.

The following graph shows the effect of the methodological changes on the employed and unemployed figures.
