Did you know...?
The main objective of the Statistics on Global Value Chains (SGVC) is to provide information on Spanish companies whose production processes involve more countries. In this way, knowledge is generated about the globalisation of the current economy.
Information is provided in three distinct sections: Business Functions, Global Value Chains and Outsourcing. The first section focuses on personnel employed by sector of activity and business function. The second section covers the number of companies that trade internationally, whether in goods or services, broken down by sector of activity, type of goods or services, and geographic area. It also addresses events and influential changes in the global economy, ranked by degree of importance. Finally, the third section is dedicated to analysing outsourcing activity through the percentage of companies that engage in outsourcing, by sector of activity, size of workforce, type of business partner, and geographic area, as well as the motivations and barriers that influenced the process, ranked by degree of importance.
