Spain has systems to track and make public allocations for gender equality and women's empowerment
This indicator is derived from a questionnaire consisting of 13 binary (YES/NO) questions designed to assess whether a country has a system in place to track and publicly report on allocations for gender equality and women’s empowerment. The 13 questions are divided into three criteria: Criterion 1, “Public Expenditures and Gender Equality” (considered met if “Yes” is answered to 2 of the 3 questions); Criterion 2, “Gender-Sensitive Public Financial Management” (considered met if “Yes” is answered to 4 of the 7 questions); and Criterion 3 “Transparency in Gender-Based Allocations” (considered met if “Yes” is answered to 2 of the 3 questions). Each criterion is scored on a scale of 0 to 2. Further details are provided in “Observations.”
