Definition
The Statistics on Public Finance and Expenditure on Culture (official annual statistics) provides information on the annual public expenditure paid in culture, in the recognized obligations phase, carried out by the State administration, as well as its breakdown by economic nature and destination of expenditure. The budgetary programmes of the various ministerial departments, autonomous organizations, state agencies or public entities are envisaged. The information is collected in a coordinated manner from the Ministry of Culture and Sport (MCUD). The expenditure on heritage reflects the liquidated in historical and artistic heritage (such as historical monuments, museums, archaeological sites, etc.) archives and libraries, in accordance with the UNESCO questionnaire.
Calculation method
It is used as a source the Statistics on Public Finance and Spending on Culture, considering the liquidated public expenditure carried out in Heritage, archives and libraries by the State administration, consolidating the expenditure by eliminating double counting derived from internal transfers between departments and dependent entities.
