Year 2025 - Preview data. 15.5% of women did not wish to have children in 2025, compared with 12.3% in 2018. Almost seven out of ten women wished to have at least two children. 34.8% of women said they had fewer children than they wanted.
September 2026. The annual change in the flash estimate of the CPI stands at 4.9% in September, six tenths of a percentage point higher than in August. The annual rate of the flash indicator of underlying inflation raises two tenths of a percentage point to 3.1%.

August 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the General Retail Trade Index at constant prices stood at -0.4% in the seasonal and calendar adjusted series. The monthly variation in retail sales at constant prices was 0.3% after seasonal and calendar adjustment. Employment in retail trade decreased by 0.1% in annual rate.
Year 2024. Affiliates of Spanish companies abroad generated a turnover of 285,998 million euros and employed 852,153 persons in 2024. United Kingdom, Brazil and Germany were the countries where Spanish affiliates generated the highest turnover.
Year 2024. Enterprises residing in Spain that form part of groups generated 65.1% of the turnover of Industry, Construction, Trade and Non-financial Services. Affiliates of foreign multinational groups invoiced 851,179 million euros and employed 2,561,593 people. France, Germany and the United States were the countries whose affiliates generated the highest turnovers in 2024.
July 2026. Provisional data. The number of mortgages constituted on dwellings registered in land registries was 43,372, down 3.5% in the annual rate. The average amount of mortgages on dwellings increased by 10.9%, standing at 180,785 euros. The average interest rate on new mortgages on dwellings was 3.01%.
Second Quarter 2026. In terms of volume, the GDP registered a variation of 0.7% in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter. This rate was one tenth higher than that of the first quarter of 2026. Year-on-year GDP variation was 2.6%, similar to the previous quarter. Domestic demand contributed 3.5 points, while external demand contributed -0.9 percentage points.
July 2026. Provisional data. In July, 205,870 properties were registered in the property registries, 1.8% fewer than in the same month of the previous year. The number of registered property sales and purchases fell by 5.1% compared to July 2025.
August 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Industrial Price Index increased by 3.8 percentage points in August to 13.2%. The monthly rate of industrial producer prices was 2.9%.
Second Quarter 2026. The number of trips by residents in Spain increased by 1.1% in the second quarter to 46.9 million. Total expenditure increased by 3.5% to 15,729 million euros. Andalucía, Cataluña and Comunitat Varlenciana were the main destinations.
July 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Market Services Sector production index was 0.9% in July in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series. The monthly rate was -1.0% if seasonal and calendar effects are removed.
