Tourist Movements at Borders (FRONTUR)
April 2026. Provisional data. Spain received 9.1 million international tourists in April, 5.2% more than in the same month of 2025. In the first four months of 2026, the number of tourists rose by 3.4%.
Total Expenditure Survey
April 2026. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in April increased by 7.4% and reached 11,686 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 1.4% to 189 euros.
Non-hotel Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey
April 2026. Provisional data. Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation decreased by 1.1% in April compared to the same month in 2025. Overnight stays in apartments increased by 0.4% compared to the same month in 2025. By contrast, stays in rural tourism fell by 1.3%, those in campsites by 2.2% and those in hostels by 5.5%.
Flash estimate of the Consumer Price Index (CPI)
May 2026. The annual change in the flash estimate of the CPI stands at 3.2% in May, the same as in April. The annual rate of the flash indicator of underlying inflation rose by one-tenth of a percentage point to 2.9%.

May 2026. The annual variation of the HICP flash estimate is 3.6%.
Export Price Index (IPRIX) and Import Price Index (IPRIM) of Industrial Products. Base 2021
April 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the IPRIX stood at 3.2% in April, 2.0 percentage points higher than in March. The annual variation of the IPRIM was 5.9%, 5.6 percentage points higher than in the previous month.
Wage Structure Survey
Year 2024. The average annual salary was 29,540.26 euros per worker in 2024, 5.3% higher than that of the previous year. That for women was 26,904.90 euros and that for men was 32,057.55.
Statistics on Acquisition of Spanish Citizenship of Residents
Year 2025. In 2025, the number of foreign residents who acquired Spanish nationality increased by 18.7% to 299,732. The most frequent nationalities of origin were Morocco (42,114), Colombia (37,712) and Venezuela (36,271).
Retail Trade Indices (RTI)
April 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the General Retail Trade Index at constant prices stood at 0.8% in the seasonal and calendar adjusted series. The monthly variation in retail sales at constant prices was -1.5% after seasonal and calendar adjustment. Employment in retail trade increased by 0.9% in annual rate.
Registered Health Professional Statistics
Year 2025. The number of registered doctors increased by 3.9% in 2025 compared with the previous year, and the number of registered nurses by 1.2%. The ratio of registered doctors stood at 6.51 per 1,000 inhabitants, and that of nurses at 7.22.
Mortgage Statistics (M)
March 2026. Provisional data. The number of mortgages constituted on dwellings registered in land registries was 46,661, up 9.0% in the annual rate. The average amount of mortgages on dwellings increased by 10.1%, standing at 174,132 euros. The average interest rate on new mortgages on dwellings was 2.84%.
