Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.
Meeting between Producers and Users of Real Estate Statistics

Housing has become one of the great social challenges of our time. This meeting was created with the aim of reflecting on the capacity of available indicators to capture residential real estate market processes, as well as to explore how to improve their quality, comparability, and accessibility.

National Statistics Award
The INE announces the call for the 2025 National Statistics Award. All institutions, organisations and public or private foundations that are particularly related to statistics may nominate candidates. Entries can be made from 6 December 2025 to 5 March 2026 (both inclusive).

February 2026. The results of the monthly birth estimate for February 2026 are published.
Business Turnover Index (BTI)
February 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Business Turnover stands at -0.5% both in the seasonal and calendar-adjusted series and in the original. The monthly variation of the BTI stood at -0.2%, after seasonal and calendar adjustment.
Services Sector Production Index (SSPI)
February 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Market Services Sector production index was 0.7% in February in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series. The monthly rate was 0.0% if seasonal and calendar effects are removed.
Services Sector Activity Indicators (SSAI)
February 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Market Services Sector turnover index was 1.9% in the calendar and seasonally adjusted series. In February, the monthly rate was 0.2% if seasonal and calendar effects are removed.
Industrial Turnover Indices (ITI)
February 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate variation of the Total Industrial Turnover Index stands at -2.7% both in the corrected series for seasonal and calendar effects and in the original. The monthly variation stands at 0.6%, after seasonal and calendar adjustment.
