This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.

May 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stood at 3.4% in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series and 0.8% in the original series. The monthly change in the Industrial Production Index was 1.2% if seasonal and calendar effects are eliminated.
Year 2024. The average water consumption of households was 128 litres per inhabitant per day in 2024, the same as in 2022. The unit cost of water rose by 5.2%, to 2.02 euros per cubic metre.
May 2026. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in May increased by 10.9% and reached 13,553 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 1.7% to 214 euros.
