Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.
Meeting between Producers and Users of Real Estate Statistics
21th and 22th January.
Housing has become one of the great social challenges of our time. This meeting was created with the aim of reflecting on the capacity of available indicators to capture residential real estate market processes, as well as to explore how to improve their quality, comparability, and accessibility.

Elections to the Parliament of Castilla y León will be held on 15 March 2026, in accordance with the provisions of Decree 1/2026 of 19 January of the President of the Community of Castilla y León, which called for elections to the Parliament of Castilla y León, as published on 20 January 2026 in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León.

National Statistics Award
The INE announces the call for the 2025 National Statistics Award. All institutions, organisations and public or private foundations that are particularly related to statistics may nominate candidates. Entries can be made from 6 December 2025 to 5 March 2026 (both inclusive).

Housing Price Index (HPI). Base 2015
Fourth Quarter 2025. The annual variation rate of the Housing Price Index stood at 12.9%. The annual variation rate of new houses was 11.2%, while the rate for used houses was 13.1%. Housing prices rose by 1.8% compared with the previous quarter.
Foreclosure Statistics (FS)
Fourth quarter 2025 and year 2025. Provisional data. Registrations of certifications for mortgage foreclosures initiated in property registries increased by 32.7% in the fourth quarter on annual rate. Foreclosures on dwellings of natural persons increased by 33.1% and foreclosures initiated on usual dwellings increased by 34.5%.
Industrial Production Index (IPI)
January 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Industrial Production Index stood at -0.3% in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series and 2.8 in the original series. The monthly change in the Industrial Production Index was -2.5% if seasonal and calendar effects are eliminated.
Total Expenditure Survey
January 2026. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in January increased by 9.3% and reached 7,805 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 7.1% to 177 euros.
Tourist Movements at Borders (FRONTUR)
January 2026. Provisional data. Spain received 5.1 million international tourists in January, 1.2% more than in the same month of 2025. The United Kingdom was the predominant country of residence among tourists, and the Canary Islands were the top destination of choice.
Short-Term Stock and Inventory Survey (STSIS)
Fourth quarter 2025 and year 2025. Provisional data. The annual rate of the index for inventory levels of goods in the Trade sector stood at 3.1% in the fourth quarter. Within the quarter, the month of December recorded the highest annual growth rate, with 3.7%. Throughout 2025 inventory levels of goods in the Trade sector increased by 1.8%.
