The 21st edition of the publication is the result of two decades of cooperation between the National Institute of Statistics of Portugal and the National Institute of Statistics of Spain.
July 2025. Provisional data. Spain received 11.0 million international tourists in July, 1.6% more than in the same month of 2024. In the first seven months of 2025, the number of tourists increased by 4.1%.
July 2025. Provisional data. The total expenditure of international tourists visiting Spain in July increased by 6.1% and reached 16,452 million euros. The average daily expenditure increased by 6.9% to 210 euros.
August 2025. The annual change in the flash estimate of the CPI stands at 2.7% in August, the same as the one registered in July. The annual rate of the flash indicator of underlying inflation increases one tenth to 2.4%.
August 2025. The annual rate of the flash indicator of the HCPI is 2.7%.
July 2025. Provisional data. Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation increased by 3.8% in July compared to the same month in 2024. Overnight stays in apartments increased by 7.7%, those in campsites by 0.4% and those in rural tourism by 5.6%. Hostel stays decreased by 3.5%.
July 2025. Provisional data. The annual rate of the General Retail Trade Index at constant prices stood at 4.7% in the seasonal and calendar adjusted series. The monthly variation in retail sales at constant prices was -0.4% after seasonal and calendar adjustment. Employment in retail trade increased by 2.0% in annual rate.
