Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.
Meeting between Producers and Users of Real Estate Statistics
21th and 22th January.
Housing has become one of the great social challenges of our time. This meeting was created with the aim of reflecting on the capacity of available indicators to capture residential real estate market processes, as well as to explore how to improve their quality, comparability, and accessibility.

National Statistics Award
The INE announces the call for the 2025 National Statistics Award. All institutions, organisations and public or private foundations that are particularly related to statistics may nominate candidates. Entries can be made from 6 December 2025 to 5 March 2026 (both inclusive).

Economically Active Population Survey (EAPS). Sub-sample variables
Year 2025. In 2025, 31.5% of the employed persons worked in companies with fewer than 10 workers, six tenths more than the previous year. 14.4% of those employed did so in companies with 250 or more workers, two tenths more than in 2024.
Industrial Price Index. 2021 Baseline
February 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Industrial Price Index decreased by 4.2 percentage points in February to -7.0%. The monthly rate of industrial producer prices was -3.1%.
Services Sector Production Index (SSPI)
January 2026. Provisional data. The annual variation of the Market Services Sector turnover index was 0.9% in January in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series. The monthly rate was -0.9% if seasonal and calendar effects are removed.
Mortgage Statistics (M)
January 2026. Provisional data. The number of mortgages constituted on dwellings registered in land registries in December was 37,841, up 17.4% in the annual rate. The average amount of mortgages on dwellings increased by 13.5%, standing at 172,535 euros. The average interest rate on new mortgages on dwellings was 2.87%.
Business Turnover Index (BTI)
January 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Business Turnover stands at -0.2% in the seasonal and calendar-adjusted series and -2.4% in the original. The monthly variation of the BTI stood at -0.8%, after seasonal and calendar adjustment.
Statistics on Transfer of Property Rights (STPR)
January 2026. Provisional data. In January, 191,315 properties were registered in the property registries, 4.6% fewer than in the same month of the previous year. The number of registered property sales and purchases decreased by 5.0% compared to January 2025.
