Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.

Consumer Price Index (CPI)
April 2026. The annual variation rate of the April CPI was 3.2%, two-tenths of a percentage point lower than in March. The annual rate of core inflation decreased by one-tenth at 2.8%. The monthly variation of the general rate was 0.4%.
Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)
April 2026. The annual rate of the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) stood at 3.5%, one tenths above the previous month.
Reference Index of Housing Rentals
April 2026. The annual rate of the IRAV corresponding to the month of April is 2.40%.
Mercantile Companies Statistics (MC)
March 2026. Provisional data. The number of mercantile companies increased by 35.0% in March compared to the same month in 2025. The number of dissolved companies increased by 17.9% year-on-year.
Construction Production Index (COPI)
March 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the Construction Production Index stands at -5.8% in the seasonal and calendar-adjusted series and -4.3% in the original. The monthly variation of the COPI stood at 1.9%, after seasonal and calendar adjustment.
Passenger Transport Statistics (PT)
March 2026. Provisional data. The number of public transport users increased by 3.1% in March compared to the same month in 2025. Urban transport climbed by 4.8% year-on-year and intercity transport by 0.1%.
