The INE awards the National Statistics Award to María Dolores Ugarte Martínez. The award winner is a professor of Statistics and Operational Research at the Public University of Navarre and coordinator of the "Spatial Statistics" group.

Plan de Actuación 2026
This implements the 2024-2026 Triennial Action Plan, in accordance with Law 40/2015 of RJSP (Legal Regime of the Public Sector) for the year 2026. The INE undertakes to work towards achieving the objectives of this Action Plan, to periodically assess the degree of compliance with it and to take the appropriate measures to implement its fulfilment.
Annual Programme 2026
The 2026 Annual Programme of the 2025-2028 National Statistical Plan is approved, thus consolidating statistical planning for the coming year. This programme sets out the statistical operations to be conducted during the year and the bodies responsible for their implementation.
Meeting between Producers and Users of Real Estate Statistics

Harmonised Labour Cost Index (HLCI). Base 2020
Second Quarter 2026. Provisional data. The cost per hour worked increased by 4.2% in the annual rate in the series adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects, and 4.8% in the original series. The activity that recorded the greatest increase in the annual rate in adjusted data was Public Administration and defence, compulsory Social Security (6.9 %).
Estimador Adelantado de la Encuesta de Turismo de Residentes
Julio 2026. El número de viajes de los residentes en España descendió un 0,6% en el mes de julio y se situó en 18,7 millones.
Housing Price Index (HPI). Base 2025
Second Quarter 2026. The annual variation rate of the Housing Price Index stood at 12.2%. The annual variation rate of new houses was 7.4%, while the rate for used houses was 12.9%. Housing prices rose by 3.4% compared with the previous quarter.
Short-Term Stock and Inventory Survey (STSIS)
Second Quarter 2026. Provisional data. The annual rate of the index for inventory levels of goods in the Trade sector stood at 5.7% in the second quarter. Within the quarter, the month of June recorded the highest annual growth rate, with 6.0%.

Second Quarter 2026. Quarterly data is published.
Tourist Movements at Borders (FRONTUR)
July 2026. Provisional data. Spain received 11.5 million international tourists in July, 4.6% more than in the same month in 2025. In the first seven months of 2026, the number of tourists increased by 4.6%.
